Paranormal Tavern - Occult & Supernatural Knowledge

My Message To Sceptics

There sure is a lot of what (I) see as hokum within the world of the paranormal, but I find just as much hokum that (I) see in the world of the sceptical, yet I am sure they are not hokum to some who are at a different level of their personal understanding. There are many things that sceptics cant prove or disprove, just as there are many things that believers cant prove and cant disprove, it works both ways you see.

Something you see such as 2 + 2 = 4 as making sense, might make perfect sense to (you), and help you understand life better, but the idea that the universe is spiritual and above the physical can make just as much sense to the believer as the 2 + 2 = 4 does to (you).

You have been conditioned to believe that 2 + 2 = 4 since the moment you were born, now if you were conditioned since birth to believe that 2 + 2 = 5 and had a philosophy to go with it as to why its so, then you would believe that just as strongly as you do the 2 + 2 analogy, because that is all it is, an analogy, that makes sense to YOU. Truth is in our minds, our minds are the truth.

We are all products of our own environments, including people who believe in the supernatural.

Do not be so arrogant to believe that just because you can see only as far as 2 + 2 equalling 4, or that 11 ton of rock as being heavier than 10 ton of rocks is all there is, and that there is not a yet undiscovered philosophy and analogy for a different set of rules, that lies in the darkness you can not yet see. Science is illuminating more truths and lighting the dark all the time. The collective human mind is expanding, and that expansion slows down when its so narrow that it can only allow so much light through at one time.

All the great scientists knew and know that there are always surprises just around the corner, that sometimes contradict what they think they already knew, but that’s the fun of discovery, putting all the pieces together and being open-minded  enough about what lies within that darkness you cant yet see into, that lies only around the next scientific corner.

Its chasing rainbows, but somewhere over the rainbow the home of truth exists, of that I am certain.........

Physics is in no way fundamental or absolute, Einstein knew this, and also knew that "space" and "time" was not static in nature, and had folds and contradictions within them, such as with the mysterious black holes, that completely defied the laws of known physics and somewhat still do today.

I know next to nothing about science, but I believe science is a truth because it works for so many people including my self, but then so does spiritual analogies. Much of what science knows is known because of people with minds not happy with what is already known who strove to look deeper and dared to look into that darkness. Scientists interested in spirituality and the occult were also some of the most profound and creative scientist of our times and in the past.

If all science abandoned them ways of thinking that some see as stupidity, I guarantee you that we would not have what we do today.

I believe any good scientist or explorer of the unknown will understand one thing fundamentally, and that is to know a lot and to be truly wise, is to know you actually know very little to nothing at all.

The universe is so vast, unknown, expanding, changing, and almost unknowable to humanity for the length of time humanity has been about, that it is sheer stupidity to believe we even know the tip of the iceberg.
